For 2020 the S90 and V90 get relatively few changes after their introduction just a couple of years ago. The S90 now gets an R-Design trim, previously only available on the V90 wagon, while both cars get a few extra active safety features. The S90 and V90 go head to head in a crowded premium luxury sedan segment with some of Europe's best, such as the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, BMW 5 Series and Audi A6. Like the E-Class and A6, the Volvo is offered as a wagon, dubbed the V90, giving buyers a little more choice as to body style.
